01Why $175

A permanent system, not a $20 pile

What the RAD Deal actually contains

  • Two auto-retracting mounted ratchet straps — 1" × 9′, one button to retract
  • Two CNC-machined solid steel mounting plates — machined, not stamped, not cast
  • All installation hardware — 10mm hex head bolts, phosphate-coated washers
  • The US-patented mounting system — 1,200 lb break strength, 400 lb WLL per strap
  • Hand assembly and inspection by the RAD team before it ships
  • Straps in the same spot every time you back up to something that needs securing
  • Backed by a lifetime warranty
  • Free shipping with code RADSHIP

The $20 straps are in a tangled pile under your back seat. Finding them costs three minutes every single haul. Multiply that by how often you haul.

800 lbs of Rated Capacity. Every Kit.

Each strap carries 400 lb working load and 1,200 lb break strength, anchored to a CNC-machined steel plate bolted straight into your truck's factory mounting points. Two straps per kit. Hand-assembled and inspected before it ships. That's enough to carry coolers, tool boxes, generators, camping and hunting gear, and lumber runs, the loads a truck bed actually sees week to week, without a strap that shifts, stretches out, or needs replacing every season.

02Lifetime Warranty

06Installation

15 minutes, one socket

Ford F-150 / F-250 (BoxLink trucks) — approximately 15 minutes:

  1. Remove the existing factory BoxLink anchor caps from the bed rails.
  2. Insert the RAD CNC-machined mounting plate into the BoxLink slot.
  3. Fasten with the included 10mm hex head bolts. No drilling required.
  4. Attach the RAD strap housing to the mounted plate. Done.

All other trucks (Universal Plate) — approximately 20–30 minutes:

  1. Choose your installation position along the truck bed rail or floor.
  2. Mark and drill pilot holes at your chosen position.
  3. Mount the Universal Plate with the included hardware.
  4. Attach the RAD strap housing. Done.
Note on Ford BoxLink trucks: The RAD mounting plate replaces the factory BoxLink anchor caps. Some trucks have pre-threaded holes; others may require tapping with an M6×1.0 tap if threads are not present. Not sure? Email us before you order: support@radtruckstraps.com
07Who Built This

A family business, not a fulfillment center

Founded by a husband and wife team. Built in the USA. Every RAD Deal is hand-assembled and inspected by their team before it ships — not routed through a fulfillment center. This is a family-run American operation and every order is treated like it.

The US patent on the mounting system is granted. The founder is the inventor. The product has been the same since the beginning: built right, built once, built to last the life of the truck. Backed by an unconditional lifetime warranty and a team that answers their own email.

What buyers haul with RAD straps

  • Motorcycles and dirt bikes — Mounted straps eliminate the pre-ride scramble for loose tie-downs.
  • ATVs and UTVs — Full-size side-by-sides and four-wheelers. The 400 lb WLL per strap handles it.
  • Contractor and job site equipment — Toolboxes, generators, lumber, compressors. For daily haulers, permanent straps pay for themselves inside a month.
  • Hunting and ranch gear — ATVs, livestock equipment, camping gear across rough terrain. Reliable hold every season.
  • Camping and overlanding — Roof boxes, coolers, recovery gear. RAD stays mounted when you need it and retracts clean when you don't.
  • Kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards — Watercraft on long-bed trucks. Permanent anchor points beat cam straps every time.

10Common Questions

What people ask before they order

What is the break strength of RAD Truck Straps?

Each RAD strap has a 1,200 lb assembly break strength and a 400 lb working load limit. The RAD Deal includes two straps, providing 800 lb aggregate WLL across both mounting points.

Is 400 lbs per strap enough for what I need to haul?

For most of what a truck bed carries week to week, yes: coolers, tool boxes, generators, camping and hunting gear, lumber runs. If you're regularly hauling something heavier than that per strap, like a loaded trailer or full-size equipment, you want a strap built specifically for that job. RAD is built for permanent, precise, everyday hauling, not maximum tonnage.

Why does RAD's rating look lower than some straps advertising bigger numbers?

Break strength numbers vary a lot across the category depending on webbing width, hardware, and how the mounting point itself is engineered. RAD's rating comes from a CNC-machined steel plate bolted directly into your truck's existing anchor points, hand-assembled and inspected before it ships. That's a fixed, tested connection every time you haul, not a strap looped through a factory eyelet that can shift or wear loose. A bigger number on someone else's spec sheet doesn't mean much if the mounting point behind it isn't built to hold it.

Do RAD Truck Straps fit the Ford F-150?

Yes. RAD includes a direct BoxLink replacement mounting plate for Ford F-150 models from 2015 to current, including the Lightning, Raptor, and Tremor. No drilling required. Approximately 15 minutes with a 10mm socket.

Do RAD Truck Straps fit trucks other than Ford?

Yes. The Universal Plate system fits Chevrolet Silverado, RAM 1500/2500/3500, GMC Sierra, Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Tundra, Nissan Frontier, Jeep Gladiator, Honda Ridgeline, and virtually any other truck.

Are RAD Truck Straps made in the USA?

Yes. RAD Truck Straps are hand-assembled in the United States. The CNC-machined steel mounting plates are precision manufactured and inspected before assembly by the founding team.

What does the RAD Deal include?

Two auto-retracting RAD straps (Gold or Black Out), two CNC-machined solid steel mounting plates, 10mm hex head hardware with washers, and a mini RAD sticker. Everything for a complete two-strap install.

What is the warranty on RAD Truck Straps?

RAD Truck Straps are backed by an unconditional lifetime warranty. Contact support@radtruckstraps.com directly with any issues. Family-run means you talk to the people who built it.

Is there a military or first responder discount?

Yes. Active and veteran US Military, National Guard, law enforcement, and first responders qualify. Use ID.me to receive your discount code: Military & First Responder page.

Who invented RAD Truck Straps?

The founder invented and patented the RAD mounting system. The US patent is granted. RAD is the original BoxLink-compatible permanently mounted retractable strap system, designed, patented, and built in the USA by the family that still runs the business today.
